Biosystems Engineering

(formerly Journal of Agricultural Engineering Research)

Biosystems Engineering is the Official Scientific Journal of the European Society of Agricultural Engineers. It is an international publication with the remit:
'Research in the physical sciences and engineering, to understand, model, process or enhance biological systems for sustainable developments in agriculture, food, land use and the environment'

The journal reflects the broad spectrum of interdisciplinary interests inherent in this field. It publishes mainly original research papers, but also includes in-depth review articles and short research notes to allow rapid communication of recent findings. All papers are refereed. Topics are broadly classified into the following nine Interest Fields:

  • automation and emerging technologies 

  • information technology and the human interface 

  • precision agriculture 

  • power and machinery 

  • post harvest technology 

  • structures and environment 

  • animal production technology 

  • soil and water 

  • rural development
